Things are going fabulously well at work, new supervisor, renewed interest in the services I offer to our program, I have been busier this week than I have all Summer. Thank you for answered prayers.
Deb and I are working on some solutions to our finanace problems for the long term. Yeah for us. The kids (our son and his fiance' who have been living with us for the last couple of years ) have bought a house of their own and are moving in. This means two less people and one less dog to live with/keep up with/pick up after/cook for. Not that we don't love them, it's just time to empty the nest.
Mean time I have lost 15 lbs on the Atkins/Southbeach/low carb/high protein diet, eating lots of eggs, bacon, and chicken. Veggies like cauliflower and brocolli with lots of cheese sprinkled on top, yum-yum. You know the hardest thing to give up? Two things: Cokes (used to drink three or more per day) and fruit (would add friut to almost every meal). The food that I really don't miss: The donuts, cakes, pies, breads, and muffins that littered my day and every day. That's where the weight's coming off. I'm still right below 300lbs but it's been probably a year since I've been below 300! Next week I having a DMP Stress test to have my arteries looked at to look for any blockage. But the Cardiologist said If I lose the weight I shouldn't have to worry about a thing. My BP is 100-115/76-82 regularly. My blood sugar is 74. The triglicerides are probably a little out of whack, but the doc says that six months from now they will fall into the nromal range. I can't wait to look trim again! Co-workers are already starting to notice. All of a sudden my shirts fit better. Yeah!!!
Leaves are changing and that's always a special time of year in North Georgia. Cooler weather means sweaters that I haven't been able to wear in a long time.
That's all, dear bloggers. It you want to hear me drone on about my obsession with acoustic guitars, go to my companion site, Guitar Talk.
I've never had so many people interested in me personally and professionally. It really helps me appreciate my place in this world and the number of lives I touch every day. An awful lot of people care about me. It's a little embarrassing and very humbling.
Thanx to God for the message.
